Nut Vase. Hand carved-Nut Mother of the Universe, Goddess of the skies, she who birthed the Gods, 7.25” tall ×9” (handles) x 6” (opening)
Margery Cedano is a ceramic artist based in Philadelphia and founder of Artifact Studio. Hundreds of years from now, when our bones and our buildings have disappeared, the pottery we make may be one of the only physical manifestations of our existence. By using clay as a canvas for cultural preservation, Margery reconnects ancestral ties severed by colonialism and reclaims autonomy over our legacy. Ceramics is a delicate dance with the elements, and she welcomes them into her practice as teachers and healers. These totems of remembrance and rehabilitation are her offerings to the collective at this time.
