Jewels Newkirk is a multidisciplinary artist and owner of Moth 2 Flame Studios, a Brooklyn based art and accessory brand. Working in ceramics, jewelry, collage, and film photography, they explore themes of memory and individuality creating one of one piece. Their work uses found objects, both natural and manmade, as textures meant to reflect the textures different experiences can bring to one’s life. Jewels invites wearers to take from their pieces what resonates and to leave the rest; to follow our own light with intention, without fear, and while giving ourselves grace.
